Very light yellow colour, with a spicy bouquet undercut by some almond-like touches. The wine is light and slightly grippy on the palate, with notable tannins and a quite generous, ample and lasting flavour. There is richness and gravitas, a tickle of sweetness in perfect balance and an enduring aftertaste dried off by a gentle grip of tannin. Amazing value.

Aside from the lick of residual sugar and tangy acidity that lingers across the finish, indicative of the economies-of-scale culture here, there is a palpable sense that these are the right sort of varieties for the region. Mid weighted. Textural. Flow. Canned pineapple and apricot. Yet there is something intuitively effortless.
