Has the signature spice and black pepper garnish on the black berry/cherry fruit of the bouquet, and the medium-bodied palate makes no protest as it follows along the path set by the bouquet. Deepish red colour with a tint of purple. The bouquet is spicy and lightly dried-herbal, pleasant and quite complex, while the palate is full-bodied and has a grainy texture from sandy tannins backing up sweet fruit flavours. Nice wine. There is some licoricey richness and persistence. A very stylish shiraz.
