Deep, bright, youthful red/purple hue, with a powerful, fresh, gamay fruit aroma which is spicy and charming. The bunchy notes are obvious. The wine is intense and bright and loaded with firm tannins. A quite masculine style of Beaujolais, which really needs food if broached at this tender age. It shows every sign of lasting well if cellared. Very good.

“Deep, brooding red colour with a good purple rim. The aromas are strongly stemmy and whole-bunchy in typical Beaujolais fashion, the whole-bunch nuances trumping the berry fruit aromas. Cherry cola, chinotto notes too. The palate is medium-bodied and soft-textured, with gentle fine-grained tannins in excellent harmony with the wine. Good length and a cleanly savoury, drying finish. A very smart, stylish Morgon. A ripping Beaujolais. It will reward cellaring.”
