This has a very rich, pristine, fragrant and pure style with dark plums and blackberries, layered with pepper and spice notes. The palate has a very bright and assertive feel with a pleasant marriage between intensity and elegance. Seamlessly rich with dark-berry and plum flavors. Drink or hold.

62% from the 55yo Old Block, the balance planted between ‘94 and ‘05, open-fermented with 35% whole bunches, matured in French oak (30% new). Here the whole bunch component is more obvious, injecting a textural and flavour play that runs from nose to tail along the medium-bodied palate. Comparison with Cliff Edge turns on style rather than quality..
