About this product
Crafted with uncompromising precision, PIRIE Non Vintage epitomises the excellence of world class sparkling wines from cool climate Tasmania. Born from our pristine vineyards at the heart of the Tamar Valley, PIRIE Non Vintage is created in the time-honoured Méthode Traditionnelle, showcasing the elegance of handpicked Chardonnay and the power of Pinot Noir grapes. With a minimum of 2 years ageing on lees, this award winning cuvée reflects our pursuit of purity, elegance and graceful complexity. This vibrant, full flavoured, diamond cut sparkling wine has a fine aromatic lift with relatively high fruit intensity. With delicate aromas of crisp apples and citrus balanced by biscuit notes, the palate is rich with vivacious acidity and a persistent finish. Serve with freshly shucked Tasmanian Oysters with finger lime or savour it also with richer fish like baked ocean trout, yellow fin tuna or even a pan seared lobster tail.

Deep straw clear and bright with a fine persistent bead. Wonderfully intense on the nose with fresh citrus, minerals, green apple and complex yeast autolysis. The palate has chiselled acidity with exemplary line and length. Impressive.

Sourced primarily from the Tamar Valley (with a little from Tasmania’s east coast), all the bright energy and endurance of northern Tasmanian chardonnay (55%) and pinot noir (45%) are elegantly framed in gorgeous lees-derived complexity. This makes for a cuvée at once vibrant and fresh and at the same time deeply textural and complex. The accord is captivating, and line and length are outstanding. The finest Pirie NV yet and with a street price of $25, it’s one of the best value sparklings on the shelves.
