Vintage 2022
94 points points The Real Review
Deep red-purple colour; rich, ripe and intense on the nose, with dark berry, plum and spice aromas, not minty or eucalyptic, the palate soft and rounded, with amplitude in the middle, rich and deep and long-lasting. This is impressive and great value for money.

Defining the overarching character of any region’s take on the ubiquitous Shiraz variety is fraught with over-generalising a style. If we take Knappstein’s approach to its estate Shiraz, it stands as a pretty smart reference point in terms of its medium-bodied balance of aromas, flavours, and textural feels. Put together from a mix of estate vineyards north and south in the region, the emphasis is on crimson berry and plum fruits providing top notes to a smatter of leaf and spice with a light dusting of lavender and violet florals, which layer flavour in the palate as the tannins add their structural crunch in the finish. A most enjoyable contemporary Shiraz. (Tony Love, Wine Pilot)
