I’m not sure how the Chatto proper 2020 releases are, this is from the Tamar Valley. Dark cherry, spice, an ozone-like and steely character, much like a toy engine that’s been run hard. Medium-bodied, dark raspberry and cherry, cool steely acidity, green herbs and smoke, light tannin, and a juicy bramble finish of good length. Tidy.

Sweetly ripe and savoury at the same time, showing dark cherry, smoky bacon, dark mushroom and dried flower nuances, it's juicy and rounded on the palate with fleshy texture and fine chalky tannins. Well structured and firm, making it a gorgeous food partner. At its best: now to 2027.
