Barbera and Nebbiolo. Cherries, spice, perfume of thyme and lavender. Medium-bodied, savoury and slightly tart cherry in flavour profile, some dried herb and floral perfume, smooth-ish suede-like tannin, and an earthy sort of finish of decent length. It’s a little friskier than some vintages, but goes all right.

A gorgeous modern rendition, the wine shows dark plum, wild strawberry, game, warm spice, and floral aromas on the nose. This is followed by a succulent palate displaying excellent weight and fruit richness. Wonderfully framed by supple texture and loads of polished tannins, the wine finishes structured and robust.
