Vintage 2013

Deep red colour with a good purple rim. There are rich, ripe black cherry aromas with some spice and lush, sweet, ripe brandied cherry notes. The palate is full and lush, with depth and intensity, softness and extract. The finish has some sappy tannins and alcohol warmth. Plenty of oak has been employed here. A very good wine in a bigger, more opulent style, but a touch plain and sappy on the finish. It will reward cellaring.
