Sourced from vines over 60 years old, Olivers Taranga's reserve shiraz is a powerful wine. Rich, dark fruit balanced against notes of dark chocolate and spice. Throw in some super silky tannins and you've got one seriously smooth McLaren Vale beauty.

Plenty of fruit remaining, but developing some nice secondary characters. Tannins have softened but still providing structure. Wouldn't leave it much longer.

What an exceptional wine. At the recent Dan Murphy's top 40 shiraz tastings there were some standout drops. Grange, Giant Squid Ink, Katnook prodigys and other very good drops. But the standout for me was Oli Taragna's HJ reserve. Great dep

Superb big red, 97 from me. My daily for past 5 years. As it's discovery widens, so will it's price. Still a huge bargain.
