Dry, Full Bodied style of GrenacheMcLaren Vale, AustraliaShingleback Single Vineyard Grenache is a true expression of the McLaren Vale region, crafted from select handpicked bush vine grenache parcels of grapes grown in our Shingleback Vineyard located between Mclaren Vale and Mclaren Flat planted in 1947. Its sandy loam over clay soil allows roots to travel down to the clay layer where the moisture is trapped allowing vines to survive with very minimum irrigation. This wine displays blueberry and raspberry aromas with hints of black earthy tones, its long silky tannins balance the vibrant red fruit flavours, resulting in a very approachable wine to enjoy now or cellar carefully for up to 10 years

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.

From the estate vineyard, first planted in '47, and off bush vines, matured in old oak (60%) and steel (40%). So open and pretty, perfumed, floral and elegant, this has real curb appeal without opting for cheap thrills. Moderate in weight, redolent of redcurrant, cranberry, pomegranate, sour red cherries, and seasoned lightly with cardamom, bergamot and white pepper, this is an appealing expression of modern-style grenache.
