Vintage 2022
92 points The Wine Front
Citrus, pie apple, cinnamon pastry, a little aniseed and mint. Juicy and flavoursome, lots of stone fruit, good cut of grapefruit acidity, gentle spicy oak, savoury/creamy lees, maybe some barley sugar, and a bright finish of excellent length. Has a bit of bite and grip, and delivers the goods for those seeking a spicy and zesty Chardonnay.

Vintage 2022
95 points Halliday Wine Companion
From dry-grown vines planted in 1984 and 2003 in the HVD vineyard. Basket pressed, extended lees contact, French oak (15% new), 50/50% cultured/wild yeast, fermentation initiated in tank then transferred to barrels. While the bouquet is relatively quiet, the palate is amazing. It borders luscious, not common with one-year-old chardonnay. The fruit rainbow has yellow peach at its centre, vibrant citrussy acidity driving the back palate and a lingering finish.
