Yattarna has well and truly established itself as one of Australia's, and the world's, great chardonnays. The 2021 version is, again, superb. Brilliantly focused and concentrated fruit, rich, but not ostentatious, somewhat coiled and shy at this stage, yet with an effortlessness that only the very best wines display. White nectarine, grapefruit, ginger spice, tight-grained, best quality oak - layers and length forever. This purrs like a finely tuned engine. A rare beauty that will age very gracefully for ten years.

Pale colour. Classic grapefruit, white peach, roasted almond aromas with attractive flinty notes. Beautifully concentrated chardonnay with superb pure grapefruit, lime, stone fruit flavours, fine lacy textures, impressive mid-palate generosity, underlying marzipan, vanilla notes and fresh flinty complexity. Finishes minerally and long. Electrifying wine with wonderful volume, fruit definition, weight, complexity and energy. Highlights a marvellous vintage and years of improving the style.
