We were were immediately enraptured with the 2019 St Henri. Quite forward in its sweetly spiced, full fruit plushness - a textural black velvet carpet ride. Rivers of dark fruit - blackberries, late season black mulberries, background notes of cranberry; amazingly fresh for a wine of such density. Licorice, soft white pepper, a certain minerality and super-silky tannins perfectly finish a wine that is a delight to drink now but is certain to become even more magical over the next couple of decades.
