Winemaker - Richard Quodling
Our winemaker, Richard Quodling grew up in the Barossa, raised amongst its prized vines and wineries. He is what we call a true Barossa native. He started his working life hand picking grapes in local vineyards before landing a prize role as a cellar hand at one of Barossa’s most exclusive labels. Today he is internationally recognised for crafting award-winning wines of outstanding subtlety and grace. Richard’s passion to produce inspirational wines is undeniable. His mantra is – get it right in the vineyard first, respect the fruit and the process, and the rest will follow. His wines represent the skilful art of shifting the essence of nature into the glass. Most of all, he is driven to create wines that bring joy and shared experiences with those who mean the most. “… His philosophy focuses on respect for process, attention to detail and patience.”

Sourced from Barossa and South Australia, these wines speak to those who challenge norms and reshape the perception of what premium wine can be. Rooted in the old vines and rich soils of the Barossa, the range now extends into Clare Valley and Adelaide Hills in search of new expressions and terroirs.
This wine was created by Richard Quodling - a true Barossa native who grew up among the region's prized vines and wineries. His philosophy is simple and enduring: "Get it right in the vineyard first, respect the fruit and the process, and the rest will follow."
The Cat Amongst the Pigeons Shiraz is bold and full of flavour - the kind of red you open on a Friday night and end up finishing the entire bottle. The Riesling is crisp and great with food, or just on its own on a warm afternoon. The Chardonnay is smooth to drink, the Rosé is light and really lovely for a casual get-together, and the Sparkling Shiraz is one of those drinks that is a people pleaser. It's a bit different, in the best way possible.
