Ingredients

  • 4 sheets frozen puff pastry
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tbsp pepper, freshly cracked
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Method

  1. Thaw the pastry sheets. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease two baking trays.
  2. Place two of the four pastry sheets on a flat surface. Brush the melted butter over the squares and sprinkle the cheese evenly over the pastry, leaving a little for the twisting.
  3. Place the last two sheets on top of the cheese, gently pressing down, brush the top of the pastry with butter.
  4. Cut into strips, twist each piece, place on the baking trays and sprinkle the last of the cheese.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes until puffy and lightly browned.
