If you’re keen for balmy catch-ups minus the alcohol, these are our 5 favourite zero%* alcohol bevs on the market right now.

With the arrival of the new year, we often resolve to challenge ourselves. Whether that means rethinking your relationship with alcohol, exploring the sober-curious movement, or simply spending a month off the alcohol wagon, it’s a great time to try something different.

Gone are the days of terrible non-alcoholic* beers and sickly faux wines. A new era of delicious zero%* wines, beers, ciders and spirits is here, and it’s never been easier to find good non-alcoholic* options beyond a soft drink. And after an indulgent holiday period, we couldn’t be more grateful.

New drops are hitting the shelves all the time, which means we’re constantly finding new faves to enjoy and share. To welcome 2023, here are five of our latest fave non-alcoholic* wines, beers, and bevvies – each with no more than 0.5% alcohol. If you haven’t found something you like yet (or just want to expand your repertoire), you’ll want to bookmark this page.

1. Today for Tomorrow Barossa Zero Alcohol Shiraz

The holy grail: a zero%* red wine that doesn’t taste like grainy grape juice. The Today for Tomorrow Barossa Zero Alcohol Shiraz is heavier than other non-alcoholic* reds on the market and delivers all the flavour, texture and terroir distinction you would expect from a regular wine crafted in a world-class wine region. It may have 0.5% ABV, but it’s still full of varietal flavour and complexity. Red wine is perhaps the hardest thing to get right without alcohol, but this primo baby delivers.

2. 4 Pines Ultra Low

Here is an ultra easy-drinking, thirst-quenching non-alcoholic* brew that tastes a lot like the real deal. Hoppy and clean, with herbal and citrus notes underpinning the balanced bitterness, you can’t go wrong with this malt pale ale that's brewed with the same ingredients and equipment used to make all of the 4 Pines multi-award-winning beers.

3. Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0%

Speaking of beers, a clean-tasting chilled Peroni is a classic summer choice, and the 'dealcoholisation’ process used here hasn’t taken away from the taste experience. Crisp, refreshing and quintessentially Italian, the Peroni Nastro Azzurro 0.0% is brewed with the same Nostrano dell'Isola maize that is unique to Peroni and used in the beloved alcoholic version.

4. Monday Distillery Non-Alcoholic Exotic Spice G&T

Time for a G&T sans alcohol – Monday Distillery has presumably used witchcraft and wizardry to create this non-alcoholic G&T mix with selected spices and other botanicals. It tastes believable, and it’s sugar- and gluten-free, too. A sunny afternoon refresher, it is one of the best pre-mixed mocktails we’ve come across.

5. Grant Burge Prosecco Zero

A zero%* prosecco that boasts all the liveliness and flavour of its alcoholic shelf-mates? Yep! This is a refreshing alternative that's fairly dry on the palate and a great drop for social occasions. It’s no poor cousin to the OG Grant Burge prosecco, either – it gets the same TLC in production as everything else the team makes. With prosecco's trademark flavours of crisp green apple, juicy lemon and white peach, it’s no wonder this has fast become a bestseller.
