The newest member of the Hard Rated family has landed at Dan’s with a fresh orange twist.

Christmas has come early because our favourite citrusy, subtly fizzy, alcohol-spiked-soft-drink-in-a-can family has expanded. Hard Rated has gone orange and we’ve got our hot little hands on it (dw, we still love you lemon). Hard Rated Orange has officially hit the coolroom and we’re calling it – it’s going to be the (adult) soda of summer. If you love Hard Rated Lemon, Hard Rated Lemon Lime or even their zero sugar counterparts, then you’ll love this. 

Has it been a while since you’ve had a can of Sunkist? Same. Remember the smell of candied oranges and how smooth and refreshing it is? Same. Well, Hard Rated Orange tastes like that, only spiked with a neutral spirit. Retro. It’s sweet and tangy with bright citrus and, honestly, it’s fresh as hell. In true Hard Rated fashion you’ll want to drink this baby ice-cold straight from the can. Now that we’ve crowned this the can of the sunny season, here are the best ways to enjoy it.

Here in Australia, we’re just weeks away from warmer weather (well, here’s hoping). So, as the days start to get longer and the sun peeks its head out, we can’t help but long for picnics in the park, al fresco evenings and backyard barbies. It all sounds pretty good, right? We know you’ll want to take Hard Rated Orange to almost every social sesh this season, but in the meantime it pairs pretty darn well with a few mates and watching The Orange Team on the big screen (you may also know them as GWS).
What to eat with Hard Rated OrangeWe know we’re going for a theme here, but put the carrots away. Dial up the orange with a big bowl of sticky, orange chicken with a side of rice. Or if cooking is the last thing on your mind, pull out the fish and chips menu – the fizz will cut through the crispy batter and freshen up your palate.
What to listen to drinking Hard Rated OrangeCracking open a shiny new Hard Rated can feels like the perfect opportunity to revisit Frank Ocean’s masterpiece, Channel Orange. And if you’ve got it on vinyl, then we’re jealous. It’s 56 minutes of no skips, only hits. Once you’ve taken that for a spin (or two), switch over to *hits different* for tracks that just… hit different.
What to watch if you’re staying inReality buffs, we already know you know what we’re thinking: The Real Housewives of Orange County. If you’ve already worked your way through 19 seasons of RHOC (guilty!), then it’s time to watch (or rewatch) Selling the OC. Realtors, reputation, rumours – what more could we ask for?! Plus, new eps are dropping on Netflix in late August, so you’ll be ready for round four.
