About this product

In the mould of the Super Tuscans where Cabernet Sauvignon is sometimes added to the native Sangiovese, Carpineto produce a 100% Cabernet that is barrel aged for about 10 months and then bottle aged for a minimum of 8 months before released, this is an intense and complex nose with hints of spice, liquorice, vanilla and cherries. The palate is rich and persistent.

Never thought I would taste an Italian Cab Sav that would rival the best in Australia but this one does. We visited the winery whilst on holiday in Tuscany and was very impressed by the whole range of red wine. This in my view was the best.
