As artisan producers from the Yarra Valley, YarraLoch produce some remarkable terroir driven wines. Made by Oakridge winemaker David Bicknell, this Pinot show lifted perfume notes of purple fruits, violets and ripe cherries with a hint of smoky oak. The palate is medium weighted with aspects of crushed herbs and morello cherry. Fine grained tannin adds complexity and rounds out with a luscious finish.

Light bodied red wines have a water-light mouthfeel and light flavour impact. Often pale to light/medium in colour.

Blend of 87/13% MV6/D clones, 8% whole bunches and matured in French puncheons (15% new). A bright and quite deep crimson red. An impressive core of darker fruits, including dark cherry and blueberries, with the oak sitting discreetly in the background. Medium–full bodied, there is both enough stuffing and tannins for this to soften and become more complex over the next 5–8 years.
