Well done! A field blend that excites with flavours of green plum, cut meadow flower, mandarine and guava. Lovely salivating tension between the fruit and acid. Super refreshing and vital.

From the Yarra Valley, this is an interesting style (and a bit like playing wine options as who knows what is in it – I’d guess some Chardy, a contribution from the Rhône white varietals, possibly even a dollop of Savvy to freshen things, but as they say on TV, all speculation, your Honour, and there might not be a drop of any of them). An attractive straw yellow. The nose offers some pleasing lemon notes, spices, garden greens and there seemed to be a rather nice flick of mint as well, right on the finish. Bright acidity here and good length with a chewy finish. This is definitely a food wine so try it with something reasonably rich. One might even think of it as a white for red drinkers. Drink now and for 2-3 years.
