I was surprised how good this wine was, I usually don’t buy Margaret river wines and really enjoyed this particular one.

A very good Semillon Sauvignon Blanc. A smooth wine can accompany most dishes and can be consumed on any occasion.

I was worried after reading other reviews that this may be "too woody" in the vein of the old Chardys. Not so. I found it to be a delightful wine, a small touch of oak but certainly not dominant. Slightly dry with a predominance of Semillon

Getting a SSB from a classy winery in Margaret River in a Secret Selection is a great deal. At 2014 this wine is not as young and fresh as some SSB wines but it makes up for it with a deeper almost Chardonnay finish and has good length.
