Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

This Secret Selection is matured in new French and American oak for 28 months. Opaque deep dark crimson red colour with deep dark red hue. The nose displays top notes of ripe blackcurrant intermixed with some cigar box, tobacco and spicy cedar characters. The palate delivers plenty of upfront rich ripe blackcurrant fruit followed by some mulberry with underlying cigar box, cedar and spice characters. Fine grained, slightly dryish but balanced tannins. Good depth with long aftertaste of blackcurrant, dusty cedar and spicy cigar box.
