About this product

History Z Wine (Z for Zerk) is the creation of dynamic sisters Janelle and
Kristen Zerk. With over 170 years of Barossa heritage behind them they
grew up together in the Barossa Valley on a vineyard that has been in the
Zerk family for five generations.
Winemaking Sourced from premium Barossa Valley Mataro with great
Rosé producing attributes. The palate is generous and creamy with good
balance (dry with no residual sugar and refreshing acidity). An attractive
wine with spice character is achieved from delicate and careful winemaking.
The method of draining off skins is referred to as Saignée as it is the French
word for bleeding (i.e. the bleeding (draining) of juice from the grape skins).
4-8 hours on skins followed by cool fermentation on a small number of solids
to add texture.
Colour Pink Turkish delight, vibrant hues
Nose Lifted cranberry & strawberry fruits with hints of musk and rose water.
Palate Crisp and dry with an amazing fruit flavour spectrum spanning
strawberry, raspberry, cranberry, apple and cherry. The fruit splay is
balanced with textural and savoury spice notes derived from the premium
Mataro fruit. The palate is satisfying with strawberries and cream
dominating the lingering finish.
