Sourced from the renowned grower Colbinabbin Estate vineyard situated on the eastern slopes of the Mt Camel Ranges, 20 minutes drive north of the Heathcote township, with its famous Cambrian soils that give the Heathcote wine region its unique "terroir". This Shiraz shows all the classic Heathcote characteristics with its rich core of fruit density, dark plum, black & mulberry compote and cocoa spice in a livelyyet, despite its age, ayoung looking and fresh expression with elegant structure and supple silky tannins. Traditional winemaking including extended cold soaking and 15% whole bunch for maximum colour and flavour extraction and 24+ months maturation in fine grained French oak and released in June 2023 with 2 years of bottle age combine together to help this powerful "reserve" level Shiraz to drink well now or for those with patience to age gracefully over the next 20+ years.
