Savor the craftsmanship of Timboon Port Expression, a 500mL single malt from the historic Timboon Railway Shed Distillery in Victoria, Australia. Distilled by Josh Walker using small copper pot stills, this whisky is aged for at least three years in heavily charred ex-Port casks, yielding a golden straw hue. The nose is gentle and inviting, with aromas of caramel, butterscotch, dark chocolate, red berries, honey, and oak, accented by apple and sweet cherry. On the palate, it’s velvet-smooth with soft fruit notes, a whisper of vanilla, and baking spices like nutmeg, finishing with a faint tingle of smoke from the charred barrel. Bottled at 40-44% ABV depending on the batch, each hand-labeled bottle notes its distillation and bottling dates, reflecting Timboon’s paddock-to-bottle ethos. A collector’s delight, perfect for sipping neat or pairing with dark chocolate desserts.
