Moon HarbuorChateau Pipeau Single Malt 700mL
About this product
This single malt whisky is made from 100% malted barley and smoked with seaweed from the Bassin d'Arcachon. Matured in red wine barrels from the Château Pipeau winery, Grand Cru, St. Emilion, Bordeaux.
Giving the Moon Harbour a gentle wood smoke, heather, salt, purple cherries and green peppers. Vanilla, a hint of citrus and minimal red grapes also resonate.
Palate: Burnt coffee with a good amount of red wine and salt, over which someone is blowing cigarette smoke. Fat tannins with nougat and alcohol-soaked cherries. Dry, spicy, noble bitter and special.
Finish: Long and noble bitter. Ashy smoke, tannins and espresso linger on the palate for an eternity. Plums, salt and sesame are also added. Really long.
The rich tannins, the ancient wood, the strong coffee and the heather make Moon Harbour a very unusual creation. Worth a try for the Whisky fanatics.
