The Lakes Whiskymaker’s Reserve series returns for a sixth edition! No.6 is matured in a combination of Spanish Oak casks and American oak casks seasoned with Oloroso Sherry, Pedro Ximénez Sherry, and excellent quality red wine. The Whiskymaker’s No.6 focuses on the wonderful wood spice notes,with a generous helping of juicy red fruit notes known to be found in this English single malt.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Red currants, cranberry, plum, blackcurrants and hints of raspberry and strawberry. The red fruits then mingle with sticky date pudding, freshly baked strawberry tarts and a floral tropical note.
Palate: Creamy and smooth almost buttery, lashings of red fruits which are now accompanied by raisins, sultanas, warm honey and soft toffee notes.
Finish: Red fruits and dark fruits dance on the tongue, floral hibiscus notes and lingering drying oak spice.
