From theaward winning Lakes Distillery comesa wonderful blend, a marriage of The Lakes single malt as well as select grain and malt whiskies from Scotland. The liquid has been finished for a whole year in first fill Tawny Port casks, sourced all the way from Portugal. It’s bottled without chill filtration or colouring, with that warm golden orange hue coming straight from the wonderful casks. Bottled at 46.6% ABV.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich notes of dried sour cherries, raisins and plums, oily nuttiness. With hints of honey sweetness and peat smoke.
Palate: Roasted nuts, orange oil, summer berries, nutmeg, cinnamon, freshly cracked black pepper making this whisky warm and spicy.
Finish: Sour cherries, clove and a hint of black pepper.
