Sowing Edition Second Crop Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700mL

The Lochlea Distillery first kicked off a series of limited edition bottlings with the Sowing Edition First Crop. The range shines a light on the growing of the most important ingredient for single malt whisky – barley. This particular expression represents spring, when the barley seeds are sown. This is the second release of the Lochlea Sowing Edition.This single malt Scotch whisky has been matured in first-fill bourbon barrels, and bottled without chill-filtration or added colour. Sowing Edition celebrates spring on the Lochlea farm.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: The cereal notes are creamy and fresh, brought to life by orchard fruits and stone fruits. Soft peach notes are definitely thehighlight here.
Palate: Stewed apples with soft blonde toffee, toastedhazelnuts, spicy oak and oaky vanilla.
Finish: Home baking spices and soft stone fruits, a long and deliciousfinish.
