Masi RenzoIL Bastardo Sangiovese 2021
About this product
We created "IL BASTARDO” by blending a Tuscan wine produced from Sangiovese grapes and a Sicilian wine obtained from Syrah grapes. It was born with the aim of creating a wine that could maintain the principal characteristics of a Tuscan Sangiovese, yet at the same time enhancing it with the addition of a Sicilian Syrah. The fruityness of its aromas and the smoothness in the mouth make IL BASTARDO an ideal wine to drink by its self, but it is also very well suited to a wide range of dishes.
GRAPES:
Sangiovese and Syrah.
TECHNIQUE:
Doth grapes are vinified each in its own production area; the fermentation occurs at a temperature below 25 ° C and the maceration never lasts more than 10 days. The final blend is made after the malolactic fermentation, which takes place in our winery in Rufina.
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS:
Deep ruby red colour, intense and fruity bouquet with notes of strawberry and cherry followed by light fleshy sensations. In the mouth, the wine shows good structure with an excellent roundness and softness, and a lively acidity. The end is pleasantly fruity.
