Vino Intrepido‘Nero's Fiddle' Avola
About this product
Just over two tonnes of nero d’avola was hand-picked and delivered to the winery, where it was de-stemmed and sat on skins for only one week when it was a few days into active fermentation. Once pressed it completed it’s fermentation in a stainless steel tank, then was transferred to three mature French oak puncheons (500L). After spending only four months in barrel the wine was racked and blended, then bottled at the end of August 2020.

Vintage 2020
90 points The Real Review
”Bright, deep purple/red colour with a bright, cherry and floral aroma, very fruit-driven and fresh, the palate likewise, with delicious fruit and mild but present tannins that complete the wine perfectly. It's young and fruity, with the simplicity that implies, but is beautifully turned out and makes for delightful drinking.”
