Auld Family WinesStrawbridge Barossa Shiraz 2019
About this product
On the palate, our 2022 Strawbridge Single Vineyard Barossa Valley Shiraz is rich and velvety with flavours of wild blackberries and smoky biscuit dough. The tannins are broad, ripe and generous, yet the finish is fresh, lingering and leaves the impression of dark chocolate and rhubarb compote.

Grapes for this Shiraz are sourced from our growers in the Barossa Valley. The well-ripened grapes are carefully de-stemmed and crushed to fermenters where they are macerated in a way to minimise extraction of hard tannins. All providing a rich and generous nose and mouthfeel. This is achieved with less vigorous maceration and lower fermentation temperatures.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Semi-dry wines are perceptibly sweet but leaning towards dry.

This is magnificent; the gorgeous bouquet shows blackberry, blueberry compote, vanilla, cake spice and cedar characters, followed by a sumptuous palate that is wonderfully textured and expansive. The wine offers outstanding depth and richness, superbly structured by loads of polished tannins.
