OcttavaPiano Chardonnay Mornington Peninsula 2018
About this product
Hand sorted and whole bunch pressed into old French oak barrels. Spontaneous ferment with gentle lees stirring for creaminess and texture. Maturation in a mix of new Italian and old French oak barriques for ten months.
Citrus, white nectarine and oral high notes intermingle with some gingery spice and toasted cashews. The mouthfeel is poised yet concentrated with a delightful freshness and a fine chalky finish.

Gracefully elegant and poised, the wine shows white flesh nectarine, Gala apple, roasted cashew and brioche characters on the nose, leading to a concentrated palate that’s wonderfully weighted and expansive. It’s superbly structured by fine texture and bright acidity, finishing impressively long and refined. At its best: now to 2028.
