Several folk source friulano off Joe Vaughan’s vineyard but to date, this is the most compelling outcome. Heady aromas of wild flowers and fennel, with honeyed quince and spiced apple. Building on the palate, with neat phenolics adding to the glossy feel. It has the palate weight of, say, viognier but without its apricot flavour. This has a richness and a lusciousness, but not too much, and there's a lot of savouriness and bitter herbs throughout. Terrific drink. - Jane Faulkner
