Classic ripening conditions have allowed the vineyard to produce fruit with a lovely balance between all of the main elements. The vineyard catches plenty of sun and the lean soils help the development of distinctive Marsanne characters white flowers, spice, fennel and honey.
As a result, the wine is rich and full with a great mouth feel. Texture is essential to the structure in harmony with the slight (but balanced) bitterness from Marsanne which aids in persistence of flavour.
No acid adjustments have been made to this wine and as a result it is quite low in acid. The phenolics and bitterness help create the balance usually provided by acidity.
