Benriach 2016 8 Year Old Scotch Whisky 700mL

This 8 year-old scotch whisky was distilled in 2016 at the Speyside Benriach distillery. The whisky was fully matured in a single ex-oloroso sherry butt. Prior to bottling the whisky was proofed back to 47.5% ABV, with no chill-filtration or colour added. 1405 bottles were produced.
The nose is bright with notes of burnt orange peel, macadamia nuts raisins. The palate shows youthful malt character, with warming cinnamon and cardamon spices. The spirit is bright with a chocolate-y character tilting between milk and dark, with a leathery note.
