From 10yo Barossa Valley shiraz, destemmed, some whole berries, aged in French and American oak (15% new) for 18 months. Ripe blackberry, black cherry and blood plum fruits are joined by hints of baking spice, cedar, plum jam, licorice and dark chocolate. Medium bodied, with sweet black fruits, fine sandy tannin and a bright line of acidity. Just a little alcohol heat on the finish.
