Viognier is a close genetic relative of Shiraz, so it makes sense that McLaren Vale should grow good Viognier! Made in a fresh, fruity style with no oak. This 2019 shows apricot, ginger and fresh citrus characters. Enjoy with Japanese food, oily fish, thai fish salads, light pork and chicken dishes.

Only recently bottled, this wine captures the essence of the 2020 McLaren Vale vintage. Displaying lovely orange blossom, lemon curd and guava with quince, lime and ginger notes on the palate. Enjoy with Asian lemon chicken, cooked king prawns, steamed Goolwa cockles and poached salmon.

2019 Rusty Mutt Viognier - This is varietally expressive and fragrant on the nose showing green rockmelon, lemon peel, nectarine and floral aromas, followed by a finely textured palate that is juicy and vibrant. The wine offers pristine fruit flavours together with bright acidity, finishing long and elegantly crisp. At its best: now to 2022.
