A label change here, but very much a wine of familiar feel, with dark fruits, camphor/menthol, milky chocolate and a savoury sheath of older, though still influential, oak. It’s somewhat rich with the shiraz profile initially taking the lead, though the grenache rises up with red fruits and exotic spices, finishing with assertively chewy tannins. It works well.
