WakatsuruSunshine Extra Special Blended Japanese Whisky 700mL
About this product
Sunshine Whisky was the first whisky that Wakatsuru Shuzo launched after obtaining the license to produce whisky in 1952. The name “Sunshine Whisky” was selected from suggestions collected from the general public with the will of letting the sun rise again in Japan with the distilled spirits made with water, air, and sunlight.
Wakatsuru Shuzo recently introduced the Zemon pot still with the temple bell manufacturing technology of Takaoka’s copperware industry. This distiller was developed by a joint effort of Saburomaru Distillery (the one and only whisky distillery in the Hokuriku region) and Oigo Seisakusho (a master craftsman of Japanese temple bells).
Enjoy this extra special malted grain whisky straight or on the rocks.
Nose: Light, subtle grain, morning rain forest.
Palate: Crisp, honey, oak, pepper, grain.
Finish: Smooth with lasting malt.
