Cavedon WinesKing Valley Riesling 2024
About this product
This beauty has abundant floral-like aromatics as soon as it hits the glass- think lots of lime & fresh stone fruit. It’s made to be dry and has some whip crack acidity that rounds out nicely thanks to the extra altitude of the grapes, from our friends in the Whitlands
Once upon a time in the King Valley, Riesling was everywhere. That and chardonnay was how viticulture kicked off here in the 70’s. It’s not so much everywhere anymore, but we went back in time and put our own spin on the Valley’s classics.
With some arm twisting, we managed to source some fruit from some fellow grape growing friends in the Whitlands, who have the epitome of a ‘cool climate’ with one of the highest altitudes in Aus- so by getting the pick & the making part on point, we were working with fruit that would not only give us all the flavour profile, but with the right hit of zing too
This one’s a limited drop, so get it while its hot.
