PertaringaRegional Series McLaren Vale Shiraz 2015
About this product
In the Regional Series, Pertaringa has branched out from its McLaren Vale roots to explore the uniqueness and diversity of South Australia's iconic wine-growing regions. We set out with an open mind in search of vineyards and grape varieties that have a natural affinity with their climate and surroundings to deliver a range of unique and regionally distinct wines. Shiraz is pretty much synonymous with McLaren Vale and we didn't need to travel far to find this classic Shiraz from our own backyard.
A savoury, dark-fruited nose with a faint touch of earth and meat. A well proportioned and medium-bodied wine that is built around dark plum fruit, tannins are drying but fine and there is just enough oak spice to add contrast to what is a decidedly savoury, deeply dark fruited finish that has a sprinkle of black pepper for good measure.
