PertaringaRifle & Hunt Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
About this product
Rifle and Hunt sounds like the beginning of a tale from an early hunting expedition, but the story is really not that complicated. It’s more like directions rather than a name, with the Pertaringa property being on the corner of Rifle Range and Hunt Roads in McLaren Vale! The nose is rich and earthy with blackcurrants, redcurrants, dried herbs and a hint of spice. The palate is elegant and complex with luscious berry flavours, followed by excellent structure and a long finish.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Offering terrific fruit purity and power, this tremendous cabernet shows cassis, blueberry compote, tobacco, cedar and violet aromas on the nose, followed by a weighty palate that's focused and persistent. It's superbly structured by fine chalky tannins, finishing wonderfully long and expansive. Great line and length. At its best: now to 2033.
