A barrel selection that self-evidently started in the vineyard given its riper fruit and higher alcohol. It is richer and deeper, its dark fruits nestled on quality oak and ripe tannins. It is notably supple, and immediately enjoyable. Clearly the best Stefani Estate wine from '16, and will give enjoyment for many years.

This is a blockbuster, no paperwork needed for that fact. Fantastic inky purple; an extracted style full of the darkest fruits, Middle Eastern spices, blackstrap licorice and soy sauce. Full-bodied, terse oak tannins not aligning yet and clipping the finish. Drink by : 2030
