Eight at the GateFamily Selection Single Vineyard Shiraz 2016
About this product
On an estate vineyard in Wrattonbully South Australia, two sisters are producing wines which are winning hearts and palates. Named after the morning ritual of assembling their eight children "at the gate" in time for the school bus. This premium shiraz spent 26 months in new and seasoned French Oak. Blackberry jam on the nose and velvety berry fruit on the palate with tobacco and toast, balanced with subtle oak. A hint of pepper lingers with an extended mouthfeel.

Vintage 2016
94 points Wine Orbit
Richly fruited and instantly appealing, the wine shows blackberry, vanilla, cedar, smoked game and warm spice aromas on the nose. It's concentrated and wonderfully weighted with excellent power and persistency, backed by polished tannins, finishing impressively long and silky. At its best: now to 2028.
