Splendidly fruited and complex, the wine shows blackcurrant, spiced cherry, cedar and subtle dried herb notes on the nose. It's equally attractive on the palate delivering terrific fruit power combined with spicy nuances, finishing long and delectably appealing. At its best: now to 2026.

Ripe, juicy and fairly straightforward on the nose, it has a bit of a leafy lift to it as well that builds the complexity. There's dark plummy flavours and a touch of chocolate and some typical cabernet leafiness, but not green and underripe. For all it's plumpness and juicy-fruited qualities, it still possesses structured and serious tannins that keep everything lined up
