Eight at the GateSingle Vineyard Wrattonbully Cabernet Shiraz 2015
About this product
On an estate vineyard in Wrattonbully South Australia, two sisters are producing wines which are winning hearts and palates. Named after the morning ritual of assembling their eight children "at the gate" in time for the school bus. 36 months in French and American hogsheads. Deep crimson in colour, good balance between berry fruit and charred oak. Plum and berry fruit with fine tannins to balance the palate with a toasty after taste.

It's classically styled and expressed, showing crème de cassis, roasted nut, game and tobacco notes with a hint of leather. The palate displays excellent weight and persistency, combined with silky texture and fine chalky tannins, offering terrific drinking. At its best: now to 2024.
