Mount Gambier with its volcanic soils and proximity to ocean is the dark horse wine region for me. Concerted movement there from a younger generation, off a small base, could spell an exciting thing. This is delicious drinking, crisp and fine, saline, green apple, some nougat and lemon curd too. Brisk in acidity to taste, upfront and finishes, zing and zest but enough juicy fruit around it. Crackles with energy. Such a great and refreshing drink, yet has fine detail too, and that acidity is just wonderful. Yes thanks.

Great stuff at this price, its purity and intensity of varietal expression (and the ultra-cool environment) making the wine, not oak or reduction of any kind. Pear, grapefruit and apple all contribute.
