Armstead EstateRoxy's Paddock Shiraz 2018
About this product
Shiraz fruit from four premium vineyards running North to South along the Heathcote Faultline were blended to create this ‘Cambrian Rise’ Shiraz. The four vineyards were located in Colbinabbin (25%), Toolleen (5%), Heathcote (45%) and Kimbolton (25%). All vineyards were harvested by hand between late-February and mid-March and all fruit was transported directly to the winery the same day it was picked.
Using a combination of French (45%) and American (55%) oak Barriques, using 20% new American oak. All barrels were allowed to go through Malolactic fermentation in mid-2018. A second racking occurred in late 2018, followed by cross flow filtration and bottling in December 2019. The wine was not fined.
Juicy black raspberry, sage and allspice. Opulent mulberries, spectacular structural integrity with a dense, silken finish.
